Development of the Second Idea

The second idea is a performance, video which starts off in black and white which saturates over the time of the music video. The video will take place in a recording studio, it incorporates fluorescent lights and an interesting front man who is a dancer with a lot of energy and a band playing with a lot of energy too, it involves invisible cuts, quick pans and slow tracks towards the band members. The video would be similar to Les Cactus by The Last Shadow Puppets

The Last Shadow Puppets music video works because of how charismatic the lead singer is in the video. He is jumping across the studio dancing in a very strange way and the studio is cluttered and gives a lot to look at which keeps a seemingly boring performance video look incredibly interesting. To make our video like this, we had to find a studio which is large enough to film in, reasonably priced, a bit cluttered and local, we found two that are fairly close, Empire recording studios and aja studios were our two choices, and seeing as aja is cheaper and closer, it seems like that is the one that we will choose.

We chose the song 'your soul' by coasts as we wanted an indie rock song and coasts were the perfect band as they aren't extremely well known and the song does not have a music video.
