HELLO I'M HARRY GALE|WELCOME TO MY MEDIA BLOG

Changing the ideas

Since choosing the idea for the music video, I have always been a bit cautious of it, I never thought that it would be very interesting and it would look a bit cliché, I tried to make the point to the group earlier in the process and they still wanted to stick to the idea, We eventually spoke to the teacher about the idea and he shared the same concerns that I had, so we decided to change both of the ideas, the waiting room one and the levitation one, We didn’t have much time until we pitched, so instead of making two developed ideas, we decided to make one developed idea and make the other idea a performance video, however, make it not boring as it will have lots of different coloured lighting and quick camera pans to other parts of the band, and may look a bit reminiscent of ‘les cactus’ by the last shadow puppets. The top choice however, is a ‘Birdman’ inspired video were the cut looks as though it is unbroken, and there is a neon triangle in the set which I can key out in Adobe Premier CC and make it look like a portal so when the camera goes through the triangle, the set has changed and maybe goes to something like a dancer, or the band .

  1. Hi Harry

What you have included from last week is fine, but there is also quite a lot of stuff missing! Your group's idea transformed quite a lot to where it got to in Firday's lesson which I think was a girl watching a band on a TV that are featured on every channel? You also completely missed out Luke's lecture - didn't you pick up any useful advice that is important to your production?? Please try and blog for 15 minutes a day and it will really take the pain out of the process for you. Otherwise your blog could end up having holes and being incomplete. Phil
